Аннотация

Данная статья представляет собой глубокий критический пересмотр устоявшихся в историографии причин победы союзников в ключевом сражении на реке Альме во время Крымской войны. Актуальность исследования обусловлена необходимостью пересмотра устоявшихся взглядов в историографии Крымской войны, которые сводят причины поражения русской армии в сражении на реке Альме преимущественно к ее технической отсталости, в частности к отсутствию массового нарезного оружия. Такой технологический детерминизм оставляет без внимания другие ключевые аспекты военного противостояния, такие как тактическое мастерство, выучка и моральный дух войск. Целью статьи являются критический анализ и переоценка ключевых факторов победы союзников, смещение акцента с превосходства в вооружении на комплексное тактическое превосходство элитных частей французской пехоты — зуавов и пеших егерей. Методология исследования базируется на комплексном анализе широкого круга источников, включая французские, русские и британские документы (в том числе воинские уставы), мемуары непосредственных участников сражения с обеих сторон, а также материалы отечественной и зарубежной историографии. Основные результаты проведенного исследования опровергают господствующую точку зрения. Автор убедительно доказывает, что решающую роль в успехе дивизии Боске и исходе битвы в целом сыграли не штуцеры, а высочайшая боевая выучка, тактическая гибкость, поощряемая индивидуальная инициатива низших чинов и отработанное мастерство в штыковом бою, привитые зуавам в колониальных кампаниях в Северной Африке. На конкретных примерах демонстрируется, что зуавы зачастую намеренно отказывались от использования своего огневого преимущества в пользу стремительной рукопашной атаки, которая оказывалась неожиданной и эффективной. Параллельно деконструируется устоявшийся стереотип о безоговорочном доминировании русского штыка. Исследование приходит к выводу, что именно тактическое новаторство и профессиональное мастерство «африканских» войск предопределили победу при Альме.
