Vladimir V. Hutarev-Garnishevsky The Problem of Origin and Authenticity of the Diary of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich for 1915–1918
Abstract
Studying the diaries of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich discovered numerous edits and additions in handwriting different from that of the author. The content of some of the additions is of a tendentious political nature. The entry about the day of abdication on March 2, 1917, was presumably artificially shortened. The article is a source study and is devoted to the problem of the authenticity of the diaries of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich. Textual and historical-comparative analysis was carried out, and materials of graphological examination were involved.
