Аннотация

В статье на основе впервые вводимых в научный оборот документов российских и зарубежных архивов раскрывается ход и особенности дела выдающегося отечественного военного ученого, бывшего генерал-лейтенанта Андрея Евгеньевича Снесарева (1865–1937). Снесарев был арестован в начале 1930 г. по делу «Русского национального союза», а позднее стал одним из ключевых фигурантов дела «Всесоюзной военно-офицерской контрреволюционной организации» или дела «Весна» и с осени 1931 по осень 1934 г. находился в лагерях. Расстрельный приговор ему был смягчен по личному решению И.В. Сталина. Впоследствии Снесарев по всем делам был реабилитирован. Арест и пребывание в тюрьмах и лагерях стали для Снесарева тяжелым испытанием, подорвали его здоровье и ускорили уход из жизни. Арест Снесарева навредил подготовке командных кадров РККА, и советской военной науке, поскольку выключил из активной научной деятельности крупного военного ученого, значимые труды которого по ряду вопросов остались не написанными. Анализ следственных документов в отношении Снесарева позволяет понять механизмы фабрикации ОГПУ заговоров по делам «Русского национального союза» и «Весна».

Abstract

Based on documents from Russian and foreign archives, which have been introduced for the first time into scientific circulation, this article examines the course and details of the case of a prominent Russian military scientist, Lieutenant General Andrei Evgenievich Snesarev (1865-1937). In the early 1930s, Snesarev was arrested in connection with the so-called «Russian National Union" case and later became a key defendant in the «All-Union Military Officers' Counter-Revolutionary Organization», also known as the «Spring» case. Between the autumn of 1931 and the autumn of 1934, he was incarcerated in camps. A personal decision by Joseph Stalin commuted his death sentence. Subsequently, all charges against Snesarev were dropped and his arrest and imprisonment reversed. He was fully rehabilitated, but the events surrounding his arrest and conviction continue to be a subject of historical debate. Imprisonment and time in prison and camps was a difficult experience for Snesarev and significantly undermined his health, leading to his death. The arrest had a negative impact on the training of Red Army command personnel and Soviet military science, as it prevented a major military scientist from continuing his active scientific work, with his significant contributions on several issues remaining unpublished. Analysis of the investigative documents related to Snesarev allows us to understand the methods used by the OGPU in fabricating conspiracies related to the Russian National Union and the «Spring» cases.
